Hi everyone,
I need some help using "thereby" in a sentence, but I just haven't been able to find information about the proper way to phrase this: I didn't finish my essay yesterday, thereby me having to finish it today. Can anyone tell me if my sentence is correct, and/or if there's a better way to phrase it?
"Thereby" does not work in your sentence, bt "therefore" does: I didn't finish my essay yesterday; therefore, I had to finish it today. I didn't finish my essay yesterday, thereby causing me to stay up late tonight to finish it. hardm=1&t=0&l=0&p=4&q=thereby
