There was a very small swimming pool in their new house.

Hi

Could you please tell me which word/expression fits best here? Any other suggestions please?

  1. There was a very small swimming pool in her new house. But Mrs. Jones knew it would never be used, so she decided to remove it.
  2. There was a very small swimming pool in her new house. But Mrs. Jones knew it would never be used, so she decided to get rid of it.
  3. There was a very small swimming pool in her new house. But Mrs. Jones knew it would never be used, so she decided to have it filled up.
  4. There was a very small swimming pool in her new house. But Mrs. Jones knew it would never be used, so she decided to demolish it.

Thanks,

Tom

In casual conversation, I'd say #2.

In #3, the term I hear is have it filled in, not have it filled up.

Note that

There was a very small swimming pool in her new house means an indoor pool.

If it was outside, say

There was a very small swimming pool at her new house.
