1) How many people are there in your life?

2) How many people are in your life?

Is there any difference between above sentences?

There is no difference in meaning or intent. though the question is odd – I doubt anyone could count them: there's the convenience store clerk and the barber and my cousin back in the States and the old guy on the bicycle that I always wave to and.....
