There isn't any park in my town.

Nowaday, I am learning English by Grammar in Use book.

And check one more time by iPhone Grammar in Use app.

It was a question in iPhone Grammar in Use app.

There ____ in my town.

1. 's no park

2. 's not any park

3. isn't any park

The answer is number 1.

I've searched the internet, and I found that number 2, 's not any park is wrong.

But number 3, more and more I search the internet, I become thought that it

is also right.

Could anyone make it clear to me??

This is the convention: When we try to express the presence of something, i.e. we say "there is new supermarket in the mall", and when we try to express the absence of something, use "there is no...".

i.e. " I called Mary twice yesterday, but there was no asnwer".
