There is not space for me to do more

Hi

An author of a book writes about suggestion and how it influences our lives. He says:

There is not space for me to do more than mention other ways by which

we are unconsciously affected and influenced by suggestion.

Newspaper and magazine advertising of patent medicines are most

potent and powerful mediums of suggestion.

I don't understand this phrasing: There is not space for me to do more. What is the author trying to say?

Does Newspaper and magazine advertising of patent medicines mean the same as: Newspapers and magazines which advertise patent medicines are most potent and powerful mediums of suggestion?

Thanks
