There is no shortage of clubs to join

In university, there is no shortage of clubs to join. And there are many benefits to joining one, or more than one.

Hi,

For a start, does the bolded part in the above sound good?

Secondly, is it better to say "benefits of joining" instead of "benefits to joining?"

Thanks.
