There is no scars or there are no scars?

Hi,
My student asked me a question, she would like to know whether 'there is no scars' or 'there are no scars' is correct.

To me, I think it should be either 'there are no scars' or 'there is no scar'. However, I want to make sure I am correct before I answer my student, so I would like to seek some advice here~

Thanks a lot in advance!

Miss C

So do I.

'There is no scars' is not correct, though in informal conversation you may hear the contracted 'There's no scars' from some native speakers.
