There is a high traffic area

I'm sure that "there is a high traffic area" means that it's a place inside the home where people going in there all the time, but the expression itself in unfamiliar to me when it reffer to human beings. Can you please write this expression in other words?

As you see we have the side door right here, and the back door right behind us. There's a high traffic area, we want to make sure that any dust, dirt that is collected is easily wiped off.
