Is the second sentence correct?
The longer you leave the bottle in the fridge the colder it'll get. There gets to a point where the bottle won't get any colder in the fridge.

Of course, your two sentences contradict each other. You could combine them and say "The longer the bottle stays in the fridge, the colder it gets -- up to a certain point."
