I've found the questions How much water is in the glass? and How many cars are in the street? on a website that teaches American English. Are they gramatically correct or used in an informal way? I'm asking this because whenever we are taught the use of there with much and many, there always appears questions. (How many cars are there...?)
What can you tell me about the use of a lot of in questions?
Thanks in advance!
