Is there a grammar mistake in this?

There's a part of your brainstem that interrupts the neuronal circuitry relay between your brain and body so that you don't act out your dreams. The turning off of this motor inhibition when you wake up is not instantaneous and that's why you may be unable to clench your fist 1st thing in the morning.
