The+plural noun

Hi
Is 'the' used correctly in the following title?

in the whole article(previous sectionss or the later ones), the author almost never have talked about other paintings (as far as I'm concerned). Only Qajar painting.

If talking about a specific group of paintings that has previously been mentioned or is understood from general context, "the paintings" is correct. In a title, I would probably delete the first "The" (before "Semiotic Analysis").
