Then or than?

Consider this sentence:

"Text appears in other places in addition to or besides the text box".

Would this also be correct:

"Text appears in other places then the text box"?

The definition of "then" from dictionary.com lists "in addition, besides" so I'm assuming I can just use replace the definition that's used in the sentence with the actual word.
