Then + got + past participle

Hi, im actually a student, and pretty confused with this sentence :

I rode bike too fast.. then i get injured ( what my teacher wrote ).

and she said, you can't use got + past participle, which sounds pretty awkward to me, because
"I rode bike too fast.. then i got injured" sounds really much better
so, please help me, and many thanks.
