Upon arriving at her grandparents' house in Malacca, Shella hugged them/her grandparents.

Should I use 'them' or 'her grandparents'?

Hello, To be a more careful writer , I think , you should say her grandparents . Of course no one will think that the girl hugged her granparents' house though. Edited.

To be a more careful writer , I think , you should say her grandparents. Of course no one will think that the girl hugged her granparents' house though.

I always thought that I should use 'arrive in' before country names, and 'arrive at' before party, bus-stop, etc.
