Them for those?

In American street slang, do some people say them cars, them buildings instead of those cars, those buildings?

I just heard the expression "Stay off them corners" used in a situation where the speaker would be saying "Don't sell or buy illicit drugs" in other words.

You hear it. The OED calls it "Now regional and nonstandard." It stopped being standard before I was born, anyway. It sounds backwoods, especially "them there", or ghetto today.
