Their/they're ever interchangeable?

So my friends and I were arguing about a specific usage of they're vs their.

In a scenario when somebody asks "Who's here?"

Could you respond with both: "They're here." and "Their here" ?

As in, the person responding gestures to the people who are there.

My friend is arguing that's their would work as in, their bodies are here. Where I feel that they're is the only correct usage.

Anyone have any knowledge on this subject?

  • Correct.
  • "here" is a place.
  • It doesn't belong to anybody, so it can't be "my here", "your here" or "their here", etc.
