Hi, dear teachers. I'm wondering which meaning the underlined part means? Their eyes are as smooth as their cheeks? Or their eyes look the same?

I've never heard of amber eyes.

To me, it means that they all had the same look in their eyes.

eg maybe they all looked determined.
