Dear Teachers,I am driving to the city. When I reach the city, I see there is a/the word 'welcome'.Which one is right? There is a word 'welcome'? There is the word 'welcome'?My teacher says English speakers won't choose either. The original sentence looks bad. What does she mean? She didn't explain. Thank you dear teachers.
