Which should I use 'the' or 'a' if I wanted to say "That was (a/the) Dark Knight Rises reference right there..."

Yes, I know what the difference is, and sorry I didn't elaborate on my question. Well the problem is, that the movie is called 'THE Dark Knight Rises" and I presume no one would really say '' That was a The Dark Knight Rises reference right there..." , hence I'm asking how the sentence should be phrased.
