The "XXX" class

Hello,

I know you have to hyphen the fast-car category.

But what if it is

I have a "high quality" class. (The class is called "high quality")

Do I have to hyphen
I have a "high-quality" class?

Or because it is in quotes I don't have to?

It's not a high-quality class but a class NAMED "high quality"

The quotation marks make it look like you are disparaging the quality of the class. All in all, your example is so unlikely that any sort of punctuation seems useless. Can you think of a more reasonable class name?

Hi,
How about

The "second leap" class is today.
The "second-lead" class is today.

The class name is "The second leap"

Those are less confusing, yes. No hyphen.
