Can we drop ON in these sentences?

Who would like to date a woman on the wrong side of 70?

Who would like to date a woman the wrong side of 70?

He is a man on the right side of 30.

He is a man the right side of 30.

Dropping "on" doesn't sound idiomatic to me but I suppose it's possible you might hear it somewhere.
