The wrong number

Hello,

why do the following sentences have the definite article in correct English?

I'm sorry, I've dialed the wrong number.
The words are in the wrong order.

There are many wrong numbers one could dial, the words can be in several different wrong orders in a sentence. The indefinite article would seem more logical to me, I just don't get it. Emotion: smile

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Think of it this way, perhaps. The number I've dialed is wrong. The order the words are in is wrong.
