The world’s air pollution levels are rising year on year. Discuss what you feel are the causes and effects of this disturbing trend.

Owing to this incredible speed of human development, all the problems related to our environment are always unavoidable. The alarming trend threatening human lives now is a dramatic increase in the world’s air pollution. Perhaps there are several reasons for this issue; however, humans have to be aware of their harmful activities to save this world.

To begin with, the ozone, which indicates the greenhouse might be both beneficial and poisonous. Unfortunately, the ozone closer to the ground is gradually toxic. Furthermore, dust from erupting volcanoes, other disasters or even pollen from plants, which appears to be puny and harmless, constantly causes air pollution little by little. Secondly, humans’ behaviors are partially adverse effects on the ecosystem. It is undeniable that both means of transportation and factories assist people with movement or various services but they are causes to our environment because of the toxic gas they emit plus poor human consciousness such as littering, smoking, not treating waste before discharging.

According to WHO scientists, air pollution kills more people than smoking which is concerning. In addition, more and more disasters occurred as a noticeable prompt from nature. For instance, the Earth is getting hotter, the greenhouse effect is diminishing, the oxygen levels are reducing. To make matters worse, if the air pollution reaches a tipping point, the damage it produces will pose a threat to our Earth’s existence. Air pollution impacts every aspect of the world; therefore, we must encourage everyone to work together and safeguard the environment.

Since people acknowledge how essential the atmosphere is, there are diverse clubs or competitions like Miss Earth, ... to conserve our lovely planet. Thus, we should appreciate these meaningful messages and oppose any detrimental behaviors. Although environmental troubles are inescapable, it is our actions that determine the world’s destiny.
