Thanks for reply.

I have a further question.

So, "***, save the world!" should be corrected into "Save, ***, the world!" ?

No. The phrase is an old bit of subjunctive: *** save the world!

"The world, Behold the frightening oppression of the Tibetans by the Chinese Communist Party!"

"***, save the world."

Let me be clear,

So, are these correct?

Thanks

Hi,

The underlying meaning of '*** save the world' is this.

I hope that *** may/will save the world.

It's not something that is said directly to ***.

What I meant is that I am asking *** to save the world, and asking the world to behold the atrocity.

So in this case how should I write.

And I am not getting what is the role of "world" in "Behold, world, the frightening...."

Is it a subjective or an objective or a calling?

much oblidged

You are saying two different things, to two different 'people'.

***, save the world.

World, behold the atrocity.

Such exhortations are often followed by an exclamation mark.

Thanks a lot

By the way, I got one more question.

Are these same things?

"World, behold the atrocity."

and

"Behold, world, the atrocity."

Let me be clear of the sentence, "Behold, world, the frightening oppression....."

Thanks again.

Hi,

Are these same things? Yes. Both word orders are OK.

"World, behold the atrocity."

and

"Behold, world, the atrocity."

Let me be clear of the sentence, "Behold, world, the frightening oppression.." This is OK.
