Anonymous could the 'tube' mean anything else (when used as noun) except the most common meaning - a hollow, usually cylindrical body of any kinds of materials? Not that I know of. A typical tube is open at both ends so that liquids can pass through it, but there's also the test tubes used in chemistry.

In Britain, tube also means the underground train - the tube
e.g. We will take the tube today. I am at the tube station.

In America tube also refers, informally, to the television - the tube, or the box.
