The word secret

It is top secret!!

Because the word "secret" is a countable noun, do not we need "a" or "the" in front of "top secret"? Or it is acceptable without them? Thank you so much as usual and have a good day.

'Top secret' is a fixed adjectival expression - not a noun phrase. Why don't you save yourself the trouble of typing that last sentence at the end of every post and save us the trouble of having to keep reading it? It's very tiresome, to be honest.
