The word Laid.

What is the correct way to write this sentence? I am laid in the caravan listening to the rain...'Or' I am layed in the caravan listening to the rain...!!!

Note; Is there such a word as 'Layed'.?

Or, in the past,

I lay in the caravan listening to the rain.

No. The verb is irregular, and instead of "layed", we write "laid". (Compare: We write "said", not "sayed".) However, that's not the verb you want in your sentence anyway.
