The word into

Can the word INTO be used separatly or is it always used together?

Depending on your needs, it's often two words, but not if you want the preposition "into" saying "what direction" or "where."

If the word into is split into in and to, it's no longer one word, but two.

into, in, and to, are three different words.

If in and to happen to occur in succession as in to, it is not the same as the one word into.

The president came in to the tune of "Hail to the Chief".
