Jennyng:

(1) Some people use " ain't " because English does NOT have a contraction for " am not."

(2) He is a teacher, isn't he" (is not)

We are students, aren't we? ( are not)

(3) I am your best friend, ___??? ( no "good" contraction for am + not)

(a) We have to say:

(i) I am your best friend, AM I NOT?

(ii) I am your best, AREN'T
