The with class 6?

Hi, everyone.

Could you tell me whether I should use "the" before "class 6"?

Context: A teacher in another classroom texts me "Please come in class 6".

Should he have said "Please come to/in(?)class 6" or "Please come to/in (the) class 6"?

What's the rule for using definite article in these situations?

Thanks!
