The way = How ?

Question

Couldn't I change the following sentence into the one in the above ?

I am confident that the company will continue to grow the way we have envisioned it.
-> I'm confident that the company will continue to grow how we have envisioned it.

If I can't, Couldn't you teach me how to change it using "how"?

Son James, I see nothing wrong with either of these sentences.  Unless, I am missing something, I think they are both good.

I would prefer an 'in' before 'the way', but I think your version is probably acceptable to many people.

This sounds ugly to me. I'd use 'as' in place of 'how'
