The verb to raise (money)

I managed a fundraising project, raising over $10,000 for charity.

We all know ms word makes mistakes, but in this case I'm not sure. ms word underlines - in green - the word 'raising.'

Is there a mistake with this sentence, with respect to the word 'raising'?

At first, I considered that I used the wrong verb - rose vs raise - but quickly disregarded this. Then I considered that possibly the word is redundant because of the word 'fundraiser', but equally as quickly disregarded this too.

When I changed the sentence to read as below, the green underlining disappeared:

I managed a fundraising project, and rose over $10,000 for charity.

Thanks to you both.
CalifJimYour change was a disaster, though. You need "raised", not "rose". OK?
Haha, yes, I know it was. I guess I mentioned it because I found it funny (not to mention strange) ms word marked the correct version incorrect and the incorrect version correct...
