Do you think that among the youth the verb "to chill" or to "chill out" is used in Standard English?

'Chill' appears to be more common than 'chill out' among young Brits.

It is still considered "slang" or informal English.
Both verbs are used. I think "chill out" is being displaced by "chill.'
The "texting" fad shortens everything.
