Is the verb scrape the correct word?

Is the sentence natural?

Scrape the plate for a last spoonful.

I might add that although this is grammatical, it is a very harsh-sounding sentence. This would only be used in a prison, or similar type of situation.

In everyday usage you would more likely hear:

Clean your plate.

I don't want to see anything left on your plate.

Eat everything on your plate.

Lick your plate clean.
