The verb of reluctance -- Reluct

Hi

It was a very pleasant surprise yesterday when browsing through an old English novel I bumped into the word reluct.

It was something like this:

And I reluct to inform you that...

It's a pity that the word doesn't exist in modern English.

I suppose it has been superseded by "hesitate."
