The verb of "delivery" as in "software delivery"

"Software delivery" means installation and customization of a software product for a customer (usually a large company or organization). I cannot find this definition in the dictionary, but this is what it means according to my understanding.

So sometimes we say, "Bob is doing software delivery at Company x."

"Bob is delivering the software at Company x." If I say it in this way, it sounds that Bob is working for UPS/FedEx/DHL, etc.

What is the verb of "delivery" as in "software delivery"?

" However, if within your company it is understood that "deliver" means "to install and customize," then you should be able to say "Bob is delivering the software" without confusion -- although I agree that to someone outside the company it would sound like Bob worked for UPS.

I would say, "Bob is installing the software for Company X" or "Bob is doing a custom software installation."
