Hi everybody,
To comply as a sentence, the sentence has to have a verb. Right?
So in this example, can someone please tell me what the verb is?
Colin's head is massive.
is this right:
head= noun
massive = adjective
But what is the verb? Is it 'is'?
It is easier in this sentence;
I love greasy burgers
burgers = noun
greasy = adjective
love = verb
but i'm just not sure about the first example.
Many thanks

Almost always, yes. However, valid verbless sentences do exist, as my reply illustrates.

The most common verb in the English language is "be." This verb is very irregular.
