The veined mountain lights

Hello everybody.

Would you please tell me what' the veined mountain lights' mean?

When she followed him, she found him starting past the veined mountain lights.

Does it mean he looked at the lights beyond the mountain?

I have another question, as well.

The parrot pushed straight through the other end of the condor' s body.

What was the parrot trying to do?

Did it pushed the condor away or it pushed his way through the condor and stayed on the other side of the condor?

Thanks for your help.

I really appreciate you.

How about telling us where you get this stuff? I had to go on safari to find out it's from a novel by Patricia Engel and that you modified the first quotation. Jamal 1315 Does it mean he looked at the lights beyond the mountain?

  • I am not sure what image she was going for, but I guess that the streetlights and the rows of lit-up houses on the mountain made lines, like the veins in marble, on the mountain seen from a distance.
