The use of whatsoever

Hi

Do you find the use of whatsoever correct in both spoken and written English?

I had absolutely no money/hunger/friends whatsoever.

Thanks,

Tom

Absolutely and whatsoever actually serve the same purpose in this usage, that of emphasis on the negative. Using both is redundant, but many people use them together.

I believe whatsoever should follow none rather than no or any which you often hear and which to my ear is wrong. What sounds correct to me is

no... at all
none... whatsoever or at all
any... at all
