the use of "wear something today"

The context is as follows:
I wear glasses everyday, and one day, I wear contact lenses for some reason. People say "you look different."
I think of 2 answers: "Yes, I wear my contacts, today. " and "Yes, I'm wearing my contacts, today."
Can you tell me which is better? Or provide me with a better answer?
Thank you.
