To be + Infinity We can use the verb to be + infinitive in two different ways:
1)For giving orders: You are to go to the hotel. (You must go to the hotel.) You're to wait there. You're not to contact anyone. Is that clear?
2)For something that has been planned in the near future Morris is to take over from Bedges. (Morris is going to take over from Bedges) The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra is to visit Japan.
