The use of 'time limit'

Hi

Is this text fully natural? Any suggestions please?

The cars we used as taxis had a time limit on them. The older the model the less the limit. I could drive mine for a maximum of two years and then must go for a "new" car.

Naturally all taxi drivers found the rule abysmal.

Thanks,

Tom
