Is there a period after the "th" when used with a number, ie., March 28th(.) yes or no. We are discussing this and varied opinions have come out. Please clarify for me. I need back up for the aswer please. I am working on our bullitin at this time and it will go to print within the next hour so I need an answer as quickly as possible. I am sorry I have to rush this.

I have always worked in a professional office and have never used th or st to clarify the date. I have now taken up a new position and they want me to use th or st to clarify the date. It seems that there is no right or wrong here it is just down to preference and to show consistancy within your firm.
