The use of "splits"

Hi

Does "splits" mean "go away"? Is it informal?

Splits, man. You are already late for 30 minutes.

Thanks,

Tom

Split = slang; to leave (without the ending s) But I don't think it's natural to say that in that context. "Beat it" is probably better there. (also you don't need the "for") Wait for others

I've never head that before in my life. Are you sure "Splits" isn't the guy's nickname?

Many thanks!

@GG, "Split" is not the boy's name. So, are these natural?

I was late one hour.

You are late 30 minutes.

Usually it's one hour late or 30 minutes late but I suppose you'd get away with yours.

That doesn't sound natural.
I was an hour late. I was 30 minutes late.
I was late by about an hour. I was late by 30 minutes.
NOT: I was late 30 minutes.
