The use of social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, are replacing face-to-face contact in this century. Do you think the advantages of this way outweigh the disadvantages?

There is an argument that nowadays, contact in real life is being replaced by the domination of Facebook or Twitter bases. Despite some negative aspects, I believe that the benefits of using these applications would be more significant.

To begin with, social media is not the world where people can shake hands, give hugs or make real contact. When texting, using icons or stickers is the way we show him or her our feeling. Nevertheless, when people talk directly, facial gestures are expressed more lively. For this reason, social applications are just should be considered the temporary way to keep in touch with people when they can not meet each other to not make people lose their true feeling of a live talk.

However, we all must admit that the Covid 19 is still raging and seems to be not stopped in just a few years; therefore, face-to-face talks could be dangerous for everyone. Due to the bad influence of this disease, a million people must stay at home and not be allowed to meet or contact others, so using the internet to chat with friends and family members are the most effective solution. In addition, to some people who do not have many ideas when they are involved in the talks, Facebook or Twitter could be large lands with the diversity of videos or pictures that they could use to share with people and start a chat with them. For instance, my best friend is not a talkative person and when we hang out, she does not have many words to say, but just when we text messages, she becomes another person with full of funny stories which she found on Facebook.

In conclusion, I hold the belief that Facebook or Twitter are still the best solutions for people in the current pandemic situation.
