I would say it's used correctly (I suggest a comma before "respectively") but the sentence is horribly awkward. Germany's area is 30 million acres, its population is 200 million, and its economy is $10 billion. For France, the respective numbers are 25 millon acres, 300 million people, and $9 billion.
