The use of past modular verbs

What do you think of how I have used the past modular verbs in the following sentences ? Your suggestions are highly appreciated.


1.England could have won the match if they had used Deli as a striker .


2. We would have been in the party dancing if we were not at work.


3. I would have been among the best players in my team if I hadn't stopped playing.

I think you modal (not modular) verbs. In 2. I would use the past perfect "if we had not been at work".
