The use of 'On'

Thanks for your response to my post.

Thank you ABC on trusting XYZ.

The use of 'on' in the sentence sited above seems to me out of place. Is it so? Or I'm just having the feeling?

I'm not absolutely certain I understand the sentence. If it is supposed to mean "Thank you ABC for trusing XYZ" then "for" should be used.
