The use of modal "would" in sentences

Hi. Would you say if we can form conditional sentences with the modal "would" in the present-time setting, we also can form sentences in "ellipted" (not sure this is the right term) forms? (Not sure I have asked correctly what I wanted to ask.) I think the sentences below have

"ellipted" (again not sure it is a correct term) if-clauses.

I find it hard to imagine what I would do.

I find it hard to imagine the situation in which I would allow that.
